in today's age true information is important for today's world as so much false information is being spread around that the true information is being buried underneath it all.

knowing the truth can help with important decisions like who to trust and who to vote for. An example of one is voting for a president with statements that they have said that you do not agree with, like Donald Trump and his various statements. Nowadays you have to be careful with what you see online as fake news is spread out gathering thousands of likes and views. The truth helps with knowing if the information being presented is true and can help others who can't distinguish them.

Examples of fake news in today's media:

PolitiFact reported that the percentage of "The violent crime rate is near a 50-Year low" PolitiFact said the claim was taken from FBI data, which was based on voluntary reports of crimes by state and local law enforcement agencies and excludes crimes like sexual assault, simple assault, attempted robberies and crimes "not reported to law enforcement".

Another one is that during the 2025 Australian elections campaigns were bombarded with false claims about the candidates and voting procedures, affecting public trust. On x (Twitter) it was said that 1 in 5 accounts were bot accounts with ai generated profiles. That were targeting both parties. Anti Albanese Anti Dutton bots were going around x spreading their misinformation.

at first glance all this information looks real but if you dig just underneath the surface the true information will reveal itself. Just by looking at the accounts that were posting these you can clearly see that these accounts were made for only spreading misinformation.
